Homecoming had been a huge success! Other than the slap that had left a hand printOff on his face. Aaaand that whole thing with his office, but Barney was working on focusing on the positive!

When he'd first seen what had been done to his office, let's face it, Barney had screamed like a little girl.

"It's a horror show of purity!" Barney had shouted, hurriedly making his way to security to queue up the video feed of the weekend. He nearly fast forwarded through the bouncing, naked, teenagers and paused, anger fully subsided. "Oh. Better copy this to YouTube."

Which was what he was busy doing on his office computer, ignoring the obnoxious destruction all around him.

And the random pants.

The Dean of Students was in his office, looking amazing as always, but today he was working to appear busy behind his desk even though the Principal of Hotness had told them all to make themselves available to guests.

Looking busy was hard work, people. It meant not laughing maniacally at anything he may or may not have been looking at on the internet.

"Heh, Moustache!Marshall! You should do films, my friend."

Barney had important things to do in his office today. The first involved leaving crude messages on Ted's machine. The second, a bagel, three mice, and a fruit roll up.

Those tasks out of the way, Barney was prepared for his final duty of the day, planning for Parents Weekend. Maybe he could hire an actor to play him so he wouldn't have to talk to actual parents.

Barney had nearly had a heart attack when he'd logged onto his Twitter account and saw Bob Barker was a trending topic. A dead father meant a funeral and a significant showing of family along with people ignoring Barney's obvious relation to the deceased.

Lucky or not, a quick click cleared things right up. It seemed dear old dad had spent his Labor Day slumming with the WWF.

"Oh God, don't let Marshall hear about this," Barney muttered, typing up a tweet about how he was getting himself a WooGirl (not mulleted Marshall) at Caritas tonight. Thank you Layla Miller.

The Dean's Office was Awesome. There was no over-using that word for the view Barney had of the lawn. And how fantastic his new furniture looked in the much larger space. OH! And how there was no neanderthal making a racket next door.

Yes, Barney was pleased with his new situation and fiddled with the computer very importantly.

"Come on, three thousand days of mating failure? That's gotta be a record!"

After a good deal of time spent making his office space presentable with the appropriate demotivational posters and wall art, Barney was at his desk, awaiting the needs of his beloved students.

"BREED YOU GRAY WRINKLED LONG-NOSED BAGS OF MEAT, BREED!"

...or playing My Zoo on Facebook. One of those two things.

The door was open, even if the office owner was impatient about his elephants.

Barney was back in Fandom and looking better than ever before. Disappointed by the lack of fanfare at the portal center, he made his way from the causeway to the front lawn, ready to play meet and greet with old acquaintances and new potential one-night-stands. (Oh, and the students too, whatever. Sidenote - they'd be getting their fill of How to Be Awesome soon enough, oh yes.)

And yet somehow when he arrived on the lawn there was no picnic.
No chance to mingle with the ill-informed.

No hot principal to schmooze.

"Where the hell is everybody?"
